Referral-based Recruiting
With an exclusive focus on the private alternative markets, Sierra Advisory Group brings value to clients through deep industry knowledge and authentic relationships. Despite the technological advancements since the founding of our firm, SAG believes recruiting is at its core a people business. And the best way to identify top talent is to rely on referrals from our network and relationships we've built over decades focused on the private markets.
A Differentiated Approach to Recruiting
Sierra Advisory Group was founded with an eye toward differentiation in the recruiting industry. Ann had been both a candidate and client during her investment banking career and recognized the need for a relationship-oriented approach spanning all skill levels to service the holistic needs of the clients.
Given her professional background, Ann started with a first-hand understanding of the skill sets needed for talent to excel in a role. She believes in the importance of a client-centered approach, recognizing candidates can become clients over time as well.
The need for a flexible corporate structure is critical in recruiting to allow for authenticity in a relationship approach. When she originally explored options for recruiting, she didn’t buy into the large-firm mentality with quotas and corporate overhead. She simply wanted to focus on building long-term relationships, understanding required skill sets, and finding the right “match.”
Thus, Ann founded Sierra Advisory Group in 2004.
What does a relationship-based approach look like?
"Sierra Advisory Group won't stop searching until they find the right candidate. They are a true long-term partner."
"I will always take a call from Sierra Advisory Group. They know the space better than most finance professionals."
